“Knowledge is, in every Country, the surest basis of public happiness. …To the security of a free Constitution it contributes in various ways: …by teaching the people themselves to know and to value their own rights; to discern and provide against invasions of them; to distinguish between oppression and the necessary exercise of lawful authority.”
– George Washington, First Annual Message
January 8, 1790
Thank you for your survey responses! As you know, we have the opportunity to make sure that the previous administration’s weaponization of the Department of Justice never happens again.
Today—against seemingly insurmountable odds—we are seeing a revival of government by the people and a return to the rule of law.
But we must keep up the fight.
That’s why Hillsdale College is actively engaging the far-Left on the battleground of education.
For more than 180 years, Hillsdale College has remained true to its original mission to provide the kind of education needed to perpetuate “the inestimable blessings of civil and religious liberty.”
Hillsdale College is a leader in this fight—we are reaching and teaching millions of citizens, arming them with knowledge of their constitutional rights and of the difference between the exercise of lawful authority and oppression.
We are working to expand our educational outreach efforts through our Project to Revive and Preserve Liberty through Education.
These efforts include:
-
Teaching bright and principled students—on our campuses in Hillsdale, Michigan, and Washington, D.C.—who receive a rigorous, classical liberal arts education, including a required course on the Constitution
-
Distributing Imprimis, America’s leading digest of liberty, which is mailed to more than 6.7 million homes and businesses ten times per year; previous issues include “The Politicization of the Department of Justice” by Harmeet K. Dhillon
-
Producing and promoting free online courses for any citizen who wishes to learn on topics such as the Constitution, American history, and free market economics
- Providing a classical K-12 curriculum with a solid grounding in American history, constitutional government, and economics to schools that educate thousands of students nationwide
Hillsdale College does all of this work while refusing to accept one penny of government support—not even indirectly in the form of federal or state student grants or loans.
This principled independence frees us from burdensome and corrupting federal regulations. But it also means that we depend entirely on the generosity of private citizens like you, who understand the importance of education to liberty.
Your support is even more critical as we work to end a two-tiered justice system that rejects the constitutional principle of equal justice under the law.
So please consider giving a generous, tax-deductible donation to Hillsdale today.
Please help Hillsdale’s efforts to promote informed patriotism by educating millions of citizens (especially younger Americans) about our nation’s great heritage of liberty. Make your best tax-deductible gift using the secure form below:
